About
I am a philosopher of science and mind and am an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Virginia. I am also an associate editor at the Brains Blog. My research focuses on a range of topics including mechanistic explanation, multiple realization, causal inference in complex systems, and philosophy of perception. Prior to coming to UVA, I completed my PhD in the department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh and was a postdoctoral associate in the Imagination and Modal Cognition Lab at Duke University.
